If there is a balance due on your account you will not be able to create a new reservation, extend an existing reservation, or scan into a vehicle at the start of a reservation. If there are issues processing your payment, you may need to update your credit card on file.
You will receive an email from Zipcar within two days after a balance becomes due on your account, with two more follow up emails over the next three weeks. If your balance is not paid after 3-4 weeks, your account will be suspended and closed, and the balance will be sent to our collections agency.
Once an account is in collections, it may take up to 8 weeks from the time a balance is paid before collections notices stop. If you are still receiving collections notices more than 8 weeks after paying your balance, please contact us at 866-4ZIPCAR.
