If there is a balance due on your account, you will not be able to book a vehicle, extend an existing trip, or scan into a vehicle at the start of a trip. If there are issues processing your payment, you may need to update your credit card on file.
You will receive an email from Zipcar once a balance becomes due on your account, with a few more follow up emails over the next 30 days. If your balance is not paid after 30 days, your account will be deactivated and the balance may be sent to our collections agency.
Once an account is in collections, it may take a few weeks from the time a balance is paid before collections notices stop. If you are still receiving collections notices more than 8 weeks after paying your balance, please contact us at 866-4ZIPCAR.
