How do I create a student, faculty, or alumni account through my university?

To submit an application to join Zipcar through your university, follow the steps below:

  1. Find and select your school on our university page
  2. Select a student, alumni, or faculty & staff plan
  3. Input your name, university email address and password to create your account
  4. Follow the steps to upload your driver's license and take a selfie to verify your identity
  5. Input your billing information
  6. Submit your application

  • Most applications are instantly reviewed and approved or rejected
    • A University Department Account puts all drivers on your staff on a single account to help you streamline your transportation and budget management. There’s no setup fee—just an annual membership fee for each driver. To set up a university department account click here to submit a request.
