Kia Niro's have paddles on the steering wheel that control the regenerative braking feature. When it’s set to HIGH, the car will slow down more quickly when you take your foot off the gas. And it uses the resistance of braking to produce a small amount of electricity to recharge the battery. If you prefer smoother braking, use the paddles to tune the braking to LOW.
