What happens in the event a vehicle is recalled by the manufacturer?

The safety of our members is our first priority, and we take recalls seriously.

In the event Zipcar receives a recall notice, we will identify the affected vehicles in our fleet and remove them from our reservation system, preventing them from being used. Then we will address the recall according to the manufacturer’s instructions. During this process, if members have a reservation for a vehicle that’s part of a recall, we’ll move you to another Zipcar or change your reservation before your trip.
