Update your password

You can update your Zipcar password on your account page. (Can’t sign into your account? See here.)

For standard and University membership plans in the United States

  • Sign into your account here.
  • On Manage your account page under Your account click next to your password.

  • Enter your new password, then confirm your new password and click Update password.

For Business membership plans, and all members in Canada

  • Sign into your account here.
  • On my account page under my info click change password.
  • Enter your current password, your new password and then confirm your new password and click Update.

 

Can’t sign in?

Zipcar has made it easier to remember sign in information: You can now sign into your Zipcar account with the email address you have registered with us, along with your password

Forgot your password

To reset your password, click here and click Forgot password? You will be prompted to enter the email address associated with your Zipcar account. We’ll email you instructions to reset your password.

 

My email address is not working

If you cannot sign in, or alternatively, no longer have access to the email address registered with your account, please send an email to account-recovery@zipcar.com with the following information:

  • The email address you are using to sign in
  • Confirm which of the following issues you are facing:
    • This email address won’t allow you to sign in
    • You no longer have access to this email address and wish to change it (make sure you are emailing us from the email account you wish to change to)
  • A clear image of your driver's license (matching the one on your account)
  • A clear image of you holding your driver's license (the image must clearly include the license and your face)
  • If the home address on your account is different than the one on your license, we also need an image of another document which matches the address on file (such as a utility bill, credit card statement, passport, etc.)
