The location of the keys might depend on the car and the type of ignition it has.
For push-to-start vehicles, the keys are typically hidden within the vehicle. Don't worry, that's OK. Because the keys should remain within the car throughout your trip, you shouldn't need access to the car's key to turn on and off the vehicle.
For cars with a more traditional bladed key, the keys will typically be tethered to the steering column of the vehicle. If you don't see them, check the cup holder, glove compartment, and side door compartments in case the last driver placed them there.
