Activating your Zipcard

To activate your Zipcard, click here. Once signed in to your account, be sure to click Activate Zipcard after entering the number so you can start reserving!

Note

Zipcards cannot currently be activated using the Zipcar mobile app.

I haven't received my Zipcard

While we understand that you may be excited to get out and drive, Zipcards can take several days to arrive.

If the address on your account is not up to date, log in to your account page.  Once your address has been updated, fill out the form below to request a new Zipcard.

If it has been more than 7 business days since your Zipcard was sent, select the Contact Us button below to request a new one.

Note

If you live in an apartment building, dorm room, or on college campus, provide your apartment/box number and make sure your name is on the mailbox in order to ensure delivery.

I lost my Zipcard

If you lose or damage your Zipcard, verify your address is correct on your account page and request a replacement card using the Contact Us button below.

Once a Zipcard is requested, it will take several days to arrive by mail. Until you receive and activate your new card, you won't be able to reserve Zipcars.

We're happy to provide one free Zipcard each year. Additional replacement cards are $15 each and will be billed directly to your account.

Your account must be in good standing to receive a replacement Zipcard (no current balance, up-to-date license information, and a clear membership status).
