How do I update my payment method on my wallet?

Add a payment method

Mobile:

  1. Go to the Account tab at the bottom right of your Zipcar Mobile App
  2. Click on the Wallet tab in your Account Settings
  3. Under payment methods, select Add a Payment Method
  4. Enter your card information on the next screen
  5. Select Confirm Payment to add your card.

Website:

  1. Go to the My Account tab at the top right of the website
  2. Click on the Wallet tab
  3. Next to payment methods, select Add a Payment Method
  4. Enter your card information on the next screen
  5. Select Confirm Payment to add your card.

Remove a payment method 

Mobile:

  1. Go to the Account tab at the bottom right of your Zipcar Mobile App
  2. Click on the Wallet tab in your Account Settings
  3. Please select the payment method you want to remove. Note: You must have at least one payment method on file as your default
  4. Once the next screen pops up, select Remove
  5. Confirm you want to remove this payment method by selecting Remove again

Website:

  1. Go to the My Account tab at the top right of the website
  2. Click on the Wallet tab
  3. Select the overflow menu on the payment method you would like to remove
  4. Choose Remove and you should see the payment method updated as the default in your wallet

Keep In Mind

  • If you have backup payments enabled, you agree to let Zipcar charge your alternative payment methods if a payment fails. More information on backup payments can be found here

  • You may add up to 10 payment methods to your wallet

  • You can manage your payment methods by going to the Zipcar Mobile App or by visiting your account settings on the Zipcar Website

  • Refunds for trip or membership charges can only be returned to the card originally used for the purchase

  • Only admins and owners of an account can update the payment information

  • Accepted forms of payment in the US are credit and debit cards

  • Accepted forms of payment in Canada are credit and Visa debit cards
