You can pause your monthly membership for up to three months, allowing you to take a breather without saying goodbye. For more information, check out this article!
- Log in to your Zipcar account on the website or mobile app
- Go to My Account and click on your membership plan
- Click Cancel Membership
- You'll then be prompted to pause your membership for up to three months - Click Cancel Membership
- Finally, Cancel Membership once more, and you should see a screen confirming the cancellation
Here are some things to keep in mind when canceling your Zipcar membership:
- Once your membership has been canceled, you may continue to book cars until the end of your billing cycle
- If you have a Family Plan, the memberships of all drivers on your account will be canceled as well, but they can book cars until the end of your billing cycle
- Any trips scheduled after your plan expires will be canceled
- If you have a remaining balance on your account, it will be charged or credited to your credit card on file when your account is canceled
- Additional trip costs, tolls, and violations will be charged once they are received
- If you change your mind and would like to resume your membership, you can reactivate your membership

- You can always give us a call or submit a ticket to have your membership canceled
