Standard Memberships in the United States

  1. Sign into your account here
  2. Select Your membership section to review your membership plan details
  3. Select Cancel membership

Here are some things to keep in mind when cancelling your Zipcar membership:

  • Once your membership has been cancelled, you may continue to book cars until the end of your billing cycle
  • If you have a Family Plan, the memberships of all drivers on your account will be cancelled as well, but they can book cars until the end of your billing cycle
  • Any trips scheduled after your plan expires will be cancelled
  • If you have a remaining balance on your account, it will be charged or credited to your credit card on file when your account is cancelled
  • Additional trip costs, tolls and violations will be charged once they are received
  • If you change your mind and would like to resume your membership before the end of your billing cycle, you can visit your account page and select Keep my membership

University, Business, and Memberships in Canada

  1. Sign in to your Zipcar account
  2. Submit your request to cancel your account

Here are some things to keep in mind when cancelling your Zipcar membership:

  • If you cancel your membership, the memberships of any additional drivers on your account will also be cancelled - you are always able to remove additional drivers on your account by clicking here, navigating to my stuff and selecting my account
  • If you have a remaining balance on your account, it will be charged or credited to your credit card on file when your account is closed
  • Additional trip costs, tolls and violations will be charged once they are received
  • If you are closing a Business account with multiple Administrators, you will need to call us at 1-866-4ZIPCAR to close your account
