Can I use Apple or Google Pay?

Google and Apple Pay can be used for the initial reservation but not for membership fees, post-booking trip charges, or trip-related expenses such as tolls. A default card must be on file for these costs. Ensure Google or Apple Pay is set up on your device to use it for booking.

Mobile App Instructions

  1. While on the Zipcar mobile app, once you have selected your desired reservation details, including any per-trip protection or liability waiver, proceed to the Payment section at checkout. Go to the 'Payments' section and tap on your current payment method to make changes

  2. On the next screen, select Google Pay or Apple Pay. If Google Pay or Apple Pay does not appear as an option, it means the Google Pay or Apple Pay wallet has not been set up on your phone

  3. Once you have selected Google Pay or Apple Pay, click done to return to the checkout
  4. Once you return to checkout, scroll to the bottom of the page to pay with Google Pay or Apple Pay and complete your booking
